Margaret Glen-Bott School Rules - Part 1 CITY OF NOTTINGHAM EDUCATION COMMITEE The Margaret Glen-Bott Bilateral Secondary School THE PREMISES. The site of this school forms part of forty acres of land in Wollaton Park appropriated to the Education Committee dy the Estates committee for educational purposes, and the premises have been erected fronting Sutton Passeys crescent, at the extreme end of the site nearest to the City. Framed by the handsome woodland of the park on the one side and by the newly laid out playing fields on the other, the school occupies,one of the loveliest positions in the City. POLICY OF THE SCHOOL Every effort is made towards achieving a full school life, presenting a balanced curriculum and providing the means to enable all pupils to receive a sound general education. CURRICULUM As a Grammar/Modern school two courses are offered. The Grammar Course is a five years' course for selected pupils at the age of 11 +. It is expected that at the end of this course, pupils with the necessary aptitude and ability will sit for the Ordinary Level of the General Certificate of Education in five subjects. Compulsory subjects are English Language, Mathematics and a Science. Optional subjects include English Literature, French, History, Geography, Art, Music, Metal, Wood and Technical Drawing.
